Josie Adams Director, chartered accountant, chartered tax advisor
One of the founding members of Adams Tax and Accountancy Services Limited, Josie decided to launch the company after working with a wide range of personal and entrepreneurial business clients for more than 20 years, both in "big 4" and mid-tier firms as well as a sole practitioner. Over that period she has helped her clients not only get to grips with their tax obligations but also take advantage of the claims and reliefs available to them.
Over this time she has also lectured on a part-time basis training others in both accountancy and tax, preparing then for professional examinations.
Outside work Josie likes to get out and about and enjoys dinghy sailing and walking, although the cerebral challenges of bridge appeal in the winter months.

Michael Adams Director, chartered accountant, chartered tax advisor
One of the founding members of Adams Tax and Accountancy Services Limited, Mike decided to join Josie in launching the company after working with entrepreneurs both in the UK and overseas, gaining extensive experience both in a "big 4" environment and also in a mid-tier firm. Acting as a business partner to his clients, he has helped many businesses develop and grow, minimising the tax burden at all stages so as to release more funds for the business and the owners.
Mike is currently a member of the Small and Medium Size Business Tax Technical Committee and is a former spokesperson on tax matters for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He has led seminars on tax matters and has written many tax articles in national and local publications.
When time permits, Mike is a keen sportsman and has been involved with a number of successful UK and international campaigns showing that experience, careful planning and attention to detail works outside the office too.
